During the most recent Oregon City Council meeting, City Manager Darin DeHaan spoke of a meeting he had with Engineers and the Oregon Park District. This meeting was the proposed Bridge-to-Bridge Path at Trusser Ridge and Route 64.
DeHaan was asked about what it would take to have a path under the bridge and to wrap around to come up Route 64. He stated it would take a great deal of money and engineering.
Mayor Ken Williams said Dixon has paths going under the bridges. He went on to say he had heard that the bridges in Dixon are higher than the one in Oregon. He did point out a lighted crosswalk would be installed for people to cross Route 64.
