On Friday morning, August 15, Ogle County deputies, Polo Fire Department, and Polo EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Illinois Route 52 and Freeport Road.
After an investigation, it was learned that 46-year-old Stacey Koch of Davis Junction was traveling southbound on Freeport Road, at which time she failed to yield at the stop intersection, and struck an oncoming semi-truck, driven by 42-year-old Kyle Ruter of Shannon.
There were no injuries reported, and both vehicles were removed from the scene. Koch was issued a citation for failure to yield the right-of-way at an intersection.
