Just before 5:00 PM on Tuesday, Whiteside County Sheriff Office Telecommunications received a 911 call reporting a single-vehicle crash on Moline Road, west of Yorktown Road.

Deputies arriving on scene determined a 2018 Nissan Sentra, driven by 27-year-old Marley Yetterberg of Erie, was traveling westbound.  For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch and struck a tree.  Yetterberg suffered fatal injuries from the crash, according to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Assisting at the scene was the Whiteside County Coroner, the Illinois State Police, Prophetstown Fire and EMS and Slim and Hanks.  The crash remains under investigation.
