Cleaning up along the shore of the Rock River can be an arduous and dirty task.
This is one of the projects the City of Oregon is undertaking. Volunteers are performing this work.
During the most recent Oregon City Council meeting, the members were given an update. They were told the city was approached by the COO of Etynre to offer volunteers from the company. It is said Etynre encourages their employees to get involved in their community and to be a part of it.
The incentive employees have is the fact the company would pay its employees to volunteer. Some on the council were surprised when they heard about this. The cleanup is doing well and the council was told it is right on track.
