Driver Arrested And Facing Numerous Charges After Attempting to Flee From a Traffic Stop

On Monday night, August 11, Ogle County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 6000 block of North Illinois Route 251.

During the stop, the driver, 27-year-old Keyosha T Johnson of Davis Junction fled from Deputies northbound on Route 251. After a short pursuit, Johnson was taken into custody.

Johnson was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, aggravated driving under the influence (no valid DL), aggravated fleeing to elude, resisting a peace officer, obstructing identification, driving on a suspended license, speeding 26-34 mph over the speed limit, improper lane usage, disregarding a traffic signal, improper lane usage, inoperable registration light and two outstanding arrest warrants.

Johnson was transported to Rochelle Community Hospital to be evaluated. Johnson was then transported to the Ogle County Jail where she was released on a notice to appear for the new charges in Ogle County. Johnson was held in custody for the outstanding warrants.

Lynn-Scott-Rock Fire and EMS, Rochelle Fire and EMS, Illinois State Police, and the Rochelle Police Department assisted deputies.
