On Friday afternoon, August 15, Whiteside County Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident with entrapment on Moline Road near Hillside Road in Erie Township.
Deputies say a westbound vehicle driven by 72-year-old Frankie S. George of Erie crossed the eastbound lane and entered the opposite Ditch. George was pronounced dead at the scene.
His passenger, 71-year-old Mary K. George sustained non-life threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene was the Erie Police Department, Erie EMS and Fire, Medforce 1, the Whiteside County Dispatch Center, the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit, the Whiteside County Coroner’s Office and the Fulton Police Department.
